Went to New York, New York casino to eat dinner at an Italian restaurant, which was very good. I had a great salad and some of the best Minestrone soup I've ever eaten. After that we went to see Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity which I've heard so much about. I obviously didn't talk to people who share my views because ten minutes into it I could see this was going to be a long show for me. In my opinion, it sucked. It was so bad that I tried to drive my chair off a cliff. Ok, no really.... I didn't know there was step in front of my seat and I tried to move closer and dropped off the edge. It wasn't too far down, but my poor nurses had to get a passer-by to help pull me up out of the ditch. That was the most exciting thing about the show. Needless to say, see this show at your own risk. I must confess that everyone else I was with liked and was shocked that I did not enjoy it.
Afterwards we went to the Bellagio to see the fountains but it was difficult to watch the show because it was so crowded. I think I'll try to go back during the week when its not so busy. The inside of the Bellagio is very beautiful. They have a lot of glass blown chandeliers and beautiful plants. I wanted to see the Poker Room because I've heard so much about "Bobby's Room" where all the pros play. So I went to check it out. I didn't go inside but through the window I could see that Patrick Antonius was in there eating. I hope sometime while I'm here that my nurses can meet him. While Marie and Amanda walked around the shops, Nicole and I played three card poker. One of the best runs in three card poker I've ever had. In 15 minutes I turned $200 into $1200. I cashed out and we came back to the Rio.

  1. I LOVE three card poker... I like starting out there to see how the cards are falling and always felt it gave me at least some shot at beating the house... :) Take a few hands for me and keep the blogs coming...
