Got ready to start out today in Amarillo. Asa gassed the van up, while he did he noticed one of the tires has a nail in it. We went around to Firestone Tires to let them take a look at it. When the guy pulled the nail out he rubbed soapy water on it to see if it was leaking. Unfortunately it was, so they took it off and patched it. We were back in business. Fortunately, all the other tires were in good shape. That delayed us about an hour. We got back on the road and a lot of the same scenery for hours. Flat treeless land. That all changed when we got into New Mexico. Beautiful rock mountains, that was really cool. Stopped in Albuquerque for gas and snacks, then we headed out to Flagstaff. As we got closer to Flagstaff The altitude changed.Over 5000 ft above sea level, boy you could really tell it.Pressure in the head and in the ears. I'll be glad when I get adjusted to it. Made it to the hotel, slowly getting used to the high altitude. My room is pretty good and yes we have hot water. Get up tomorrow and head to Vegas.
