Because this blog site has a mind of its own, the pics are out of order sometime. The first picture is of the gorgeous view we had while driving up the PCH. The second pic is when my snout broke. Its the thing I blow into to drive the chair. The third pic is me in front of the sign I refused to give up on when we couldn't find it. I finally found it! The last one is the last thing I saw leaving Dodger stadium.

The first pic is the final score. The second pic is the Dodgers after they won. The third pic is a dream come true! The fourth pic is the field from our seats.

The first picture is of Dodgers stadium from where we were sitting. The second pic is Manny! The third pic is Jeter. The last pic is the highest price I've paid for gas thus far on the trip. That's LA for ya.

The first pic is me, Annabelle and Superman. Annabelle's guns are bigger than his! His are fake! The second pic is of the Steeler's fan club at Hooters on Hollywood Blvd. There are Steeler's fan EVERYWHERE!!! The third picture is me, Mother, Annabelle and Marie in front of the Chinese theatre. The last pic is me being interviewed for a documentary about fans of Michael Jackson.

Left the hotel around 12:30 and went and washed hair. Then went and picked up Marie at her aunt's house. From there we went to Ghirardelli's Chocolates. Chocolate OVERLOAD!! It was really neat watching them make the chocolate. From there we headed down towards the Wharf at Pier 39. Marie and I had an artist draw a characture of us. All kinds of different booths on the street selling hand crafted odds and ends. It is very cold and windy. Stopped and bought some shirts and hoodies. Finally made it to the Wharf and Pier 39. All kinds of cool stores on the pier. They had a store just for left handed people. At the end of the pier we watched the sea lions so many people have talked about. There were great views of Alcatraz from the pier. It's even colder in this spot! In the meantime, Kami and Marie went and got the van and brought it to mother and me at the beginning of the pier. We went to dinner at this vegetarian restaurant called Greens....it was Marie's aunt who recommended it because a good friend of hers is an executive chef there. You would think knowing me this would be the perfect restaurant. Not at all, I didn't like it. After that we headed back to the hotel to pack and get ready to leave for Bakersfield in the morning. I really enjoyed my time here in San Francisco. I was glad I was able to do everything I wanted to do and more. But I will not be missing the cold summertime weather here. I hear it is in the upper 90's to 100's in Bakersfield.
Brace yourself this is a long one. Met Marie, her aunt and her aunt's fiance about 12:30 at her house in downtown San Francisco. First stop was Lombard Street, in case you don't know it is the famous crooked road in San Francisco. We drove in the van from the top to the bottom. At the top of each twist are huge beds of all different colors of hydrangeas and all along the sides of the street has beautiful flowers. I didn't know this but there are actually homes on both sides of the street. These people drive this every day. After that we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge. My mom, Kami, Marie and I got out of the van and we all walked completely across the bridge to the other side. Of course I rolled! Marie's aunt and her fiance met us on the other side. It was very windy and cold on the first half of the bridge, the San Francisco side but when we got a little over half way to the other side the temperature really changed and became alot warmer. It's really an amazing feat of construction, especially being built in the 1930's. They do maintenance on the bridge everyday. They start on one end, painting and whatever else they do and go to the other side and when they get there they go back the other way doing the same thing... it is a nonstop process. I am so glad I went across the bridge in my chair. After that we went to Muir Woods forest to see all the huge redwoods. They had a trail all through the park I could drive my chair on. The smell in the air is intoxicating...the best way to describe it is a live Christmas tree. It is so pleasing to your nose! I know that sounds sappy (hahaha) but it was that wonderful. The sun was shining through the trees casting shadows, it was so beautiful. I hope the pictures that I took does it justice. Definitely the biggest trees I've ever seen. After going thru the trails we headed to Fisherman's Wharf at Scoma's for dinner. Delicious! Delicious! I'm planning to come back to Fisherman's Wharf tomorrow when I can spend more time looking around. Went and dropped Jackie, Larry and Marie off and headed to the hotel. I have one more day and night here in San Francisco and then it is off to Bakersfield. I will be posting pictures in the next day or two.
